The Shimano STC Shore/Boat dual tip travel rod is a brilliant idea! The rod that can be used for general boat fishing but then neatly converts into a general shore/pier/rock fishing rod.
The longer/softer 10ft option will comfortably launch out lures and weights from 28-122grms, whereas, the shorter 8ft stiffer option is a great boat rod handling weights from 150-300grms.
